Private Lives
or A Genealogist's Nightmare

The family shown on these pages are members of the Digby/Deive/Belcher families and taken during the later 1800 and early 1900s
The photographs were taken in England - some in Oxford, some in Norfolk and some in Cornwall - other than the name of a photographer on the back of some of the photographs there is no identification of the people in the photographs. I suppose that everyone knew who they were at this time and never thought that a distant decendent would be trying to trace her family roots!

Above:

The Christening Robe as it is today - seen worn on the left by Uncle Aubry.

This is my great great grandmother - she was a Digby and born at Holkham Hall - on her left, we think, is Pemmie, on her right my Grandmother (Annie) and in front standing, Zilla - on her lap would be my grandfather's Uncle Aubrey
