Egypt During the Reign of Akhenaton

Tushratta

King of the Mittani

Contemporary and ally of Amenhophis III - he ruled Naharin.

After the death of Akhenaton he took advantage of the political upheaval in Egypt and took possession of Mitanni. Tushratta disappeared during the turmoil, was probably murdered.

He was the father of Tadukhipa .

There is a note that he lent Amenhophis III his miraculous statue of Ishar the Great, mistress of love and war - presumably to cement the relationship between the two countries .
