Forrester and Harding

Subject: Forrester and Harding
I have a first cousin 3 times removed married in 1898 somewhere in Rhodesia. She was Mary Ann Hood Harding and her husband's name was R. Forrester. Her brother was Colonel Colin Harding who worked for the British South Africa Company and "discovered" the source of the Zambezi and wrote a book "In Remotest Barotseland" in 1904. Another brother, William Hallett Harding, accompanied him and died in 1901 of black water fever at Monza Fort, NW Rhodesia, which is now Zambia. His diary is at the Rhodes-Mandela library in Oxford where it was deposited after being found in the effects of a child of the Forrester and Harding marriage. He was A W Harding Forrester, known as Bobs, who wrote novels based in Rhodesia. The Hardings came from Montacute, Somerset, England. Does anybody have any information about the Forrester family or can they advise me of ways of finding Genealogical information for Zimbabwe? Geoff Hallett, near Kingston, Canada hallett@king.igs.net
