CHOCOLATE LEAVES
Using your basic base of chocolate you can make chocolate leaves as decorations for cakes or desserts. Your leaves are made either by cutting rounds with a fluted cutter and then using the same cutter to cut these into leaf shapes or using a leaf shaped cutter Available from suppliers of cake decorating equipment Real leaves with prominent markings can be dipped in left over fluid chocolate - allowed to set and removed carefully. If you make your leaves by cutting from a slab, depending on your choice, you can use a plain slab or one covered with squiggles - either milk squiggles on dark chocolate or dark on milk chocolate - or colour white chocolate green (see colouring chocolate) and squiggle green chocolate over the plain slab or make your slab of green chocolate for a very authentic look. Use your imagination to add the finishing touches to these decorations |
